The Snail and the Whale

Reader’s Annotation: The Snail has great aspirations, that the whale can help his little friend fulfill! This is a story about partnership. A great way to introduce children to the vast wonders of the world, as well as the tiniest of all creation. It is also a great message for children who may feel small in a great, big world!

Plot Summary: A snail wants to explore. But he is limited to his small rock on the cost. He is not limited in intellegence, and he spells out in his snail slime, "Lift Wanted Around the World!" This gets the attention of one humback whale, who agrees to carry the snail around the world, as he wishes. It is an adventure that will make children appreciative for the friendships they have in their little lives, as well as impart a great lesson about teamwork.
Evaluation: Storyline is good, offers readers good life lessons. Offers readers information about sea life.
